The Destroid Tomahawk (official designation MBR-04-Mk VI), also known as the Excalibur or Excalibur MK VI, was a Destroid fielded by the United Earth forces during the First Robotech War.

History

The Tomahawk was designed as part of Project Excalibur under the leadership of then-Colonel Anatole Leonard, with the first prototypes fielded at Macross Island in 2006. They were created to fight the Zentraedi after the SDF-1 crashed on Earth. (Robotech: From the Stars 5)

Drone units were used as part of training for RDF pilots. (Robotech: Battlecry)

Many were part of the SDF-1's saga during the First Robotech War, ("Blitzkrieg") and continued to fight Malcontents during the Reconstruction era. One pilot, Dan, worked with Commander Rick Hunter in securing a Malcontent band. (Robotech: Battlecry, Macross Saga: Robotech Masters)

According to one timeline in the Protoverse, Rick Hunter voluntarily piloted one during the Daedalus Maneuver. (Robotech 4)

The Destroid Tomahawk was built from the start to carry a massive amount of ordinance for defensive purposes. Because of the large amount of weapons, it was not very fast or mobile.
