Magnus is one of the upgradeable characters in Robotech RPG Tactics, a young ace in the Robotech Defense Force. Although he was a subpar pilot, he gained notoriety because of his skills in missile targeting, and 96% of his kills were in an Armored Valkyrie. He could lock on to up to eight targets at once with his missiles, and as a result, had two Armored VF-1As set aside for him.
