Matchbox, the original toy company for Robotech.
Matchbox originally a maker of Die Cast toy cars, became the US distributor for some Voltron and Robotech toys. Founded in England in 1953 by Lesney Products, the Matchbox Brand was sold in 1992 to Tyco, which in turn was bought out by Mattel in 1997. Matchbox now exists as a sub-brand under Mattel, but items in this list largely pertain to when Matchbox was its own company.
Matchbox was the first toy company to license Robotech toys. They are notable for releasing a VHS of two "new" episodes consisting of clips from Super Dimension Fortress Macross, called "Robotech Wars" both of which do not fit within the Robotech continuity.
