The Red Moon
The Red Moon, known as "Kaderak-Ji" in Zentraedi, was a large superweapon used by the Invid that was used in their conquest of Earth. An interstellar vehicle, that arrived on Earth like a comet.
Described as a super mecha, in appearance it resembled as a large rocky sphere measuring up to 2 miles long. It served as a mobile Hive for the Invid and contained a large brain-like computer core that had a direct link to the Regess. Large crater-like openings were doted around the spherical vessel with some serving as hangers for Invid mecha and Inorganics. The Red Moon was usually submerged underwater when it was not sent on its assignments.
The Regess deployed the Red Moon on a campaign of extermination of the Zentraedi population on Earth, killing 15,000 of them. This was achieved through a selective campaign of scanning the Protoculture traces within their cloned bodies. The destruction these villages led to rumors being spread by the Zentraedi of the Red Moon which they called "Kaderak-Ji".(Robotech: Invid War: Last Stop on the Lunar Railroad) It was eventually destroyed by the human resistance cells led by Colonel Jonathan Wolfe and Major John Carpenter.
