Bird Dog was a research vessel used at the start of the Third Robotech War. It was piloted by Henna and John and launched from Base Four on The Moon. At the start of the Invid invasion it was escorted by a YF-4 Lightning on its patrol. Although the escorts were destroyed when the Invid arrived, Bird Dog made it to the Earths surface and landed with both its crew alive. (Introduction)
